ABOUT US

In 1951, The Pentecostal Tabernacle was established in an empty airplane hangar on U.S. 40, west of Richmond. With a congregation of around twenty members, Bro. Alva Wyatt served as pastor. As the church grew, we decided to move to a property on 16th street and Hosapple Road to build a church. About this time, Bro W.H. Wyatt became pastor and continued to show his support through hard work and prayer.

It was in 1956, that we need to upgrade our facilities, so we were able to purchase a building on North 11th and B St in Richmond, IN. This is where our radio broadcast continued and lasted about 28 years on W.K.B.V.

However, with our numbers continually growing, Bro. Wyatt settled on a 10 acre property on West Eaton Pike and it was a perfect fit to our needs. Around this time, Bro. Charles Barnett took the reigns of being our pastor for a few years. In 1983, Bro. Wyatt came back to serve until he wanted to retire in 2003, when he decided on Bro. Ronnie Baker to lead the church. They led us through some of the 2000's and in November of 2018, we welcomed our newest pastor. Bro. Tyler Luck and his family assumed their role of Pastor and Pastor's wife and is leading our church in working towards God's plan for our community.
